pinimageI’m Jamie! A photographer based in Conroe, TX. I specialize in photographing newborns, families, children & high school seniors. My natural light newborn studio is located in downtown Conroe.
I guess I’ll start this introduction with my approach to photographing you! I want you to have fun during our photo session….I’m having fun, so you should too! I have a very laid back approach. Don’t worry, I’ll direct and help make you feel comfortable. I want you to really enjoy spending time with your family during our session. I think every year is unique and important, no matter what season we are in. Don’t put off a photo shoot with your loved ones, the best time for one is right now! I think everyone should cover their walls with photographs of the people they love. It is my goal to capture who you and your family are, not just what you look like…that is when a photograph becomes timeless and treasured. I also love really simple, straightforward images. I use 100% natural light when shooting. I love it and for my style nothing beats it.
So how did I get here? you know, owning a photography studio…
Well, my love for photography has deep roots. I knew when I was just a child that I wanted to be a photographer. I truly did. I remember my very first camera. It was a teal blue vivitar and had hot pink lettering on it. For some reason my parents kept buying and developing film. Growing up my aunt was a photographer and spending time with her solidified this insane love that I have for snapping pictures. I pursued photography in high school and college. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BA in photography. Photography is definitely my first love and I feel so blessed to now call it my career.
Who am I outside of photography?
I’m a wife and mom. I love being a mom…it is more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. I know how you feel about your little loves (or big loves), because I feel the same way about mine. I have three kids (two girls and a boy) and they take my breath away. I love them with a fierce, undeniable love. I have the best husband in the world (well, the perfect one for me anyway! I’m sure of that!). He lets me be crazy and spontaneous and artistic and serious and lighthearted and moody…he lets me be me 100% of the time. He dreams big with me and that makes me happy everyday! We have a big, wonderful extended family, whom we spend as much time as possible with! I am a follower of Jesus. I love Him with all that I am. I strive everyday to love people the way that He does.
